Let us tell you about Krakow through the stories of the women who shaped its history.
This one-of-a-kind tour takes you through the
Krakow wasn’t always a peaceful place for women to be – according to the most famous legend all the beautiful girls where once threatened by the ferocious dragon who lived in the dungeon in the Wawel hill and consumed them for lunch…Reality proved to be not less harsh, as centuries later (in the 15th century) the first female student at the Jagiellonian University had to dress as a boy in order to study. On the other hand polish princesses and queens exercised sometimes remarkable influence on the city and the whole country.
Nowadays Krakow is proud of the famous women who lived or still live here. Among them you will find Helena Rubinstein, the head of the cosmetic empire, who was born here or the Nobel prize winning poet Wislawa Szymborska. We’ll show you where the latter one can be spotted at lunchtime and seduce you with a fascinating tale about all the different women from our city.
